Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth MPX Fly Line

The Amplitude Smooth MPX from Scientific Anglers is a fantastic all-round fly line. It combines an extremely popular taper design and the best materials available for a truly outstanding performance.

First of all, it is equipped with the innovative AST Plus Technology (Advanced Shooting Technology), which is based on an additive that permanently diffuses to the surface of the line in order to maintain its fantastic slickness. Therefore, this line will stay much smoother and it creates less drag than ordinary fly lines. And of course, this technology sets new standards in terms of durability.

But this extraordinary line has even more to offer. Its modern taper design makes it the ultimate all-round tool for targeting species such as trout or grayling with different techniques. Due to a relatively high weight distribution towards the front of the mid-length head, this line offers powerful casting properties. This design loads all kinds of rods very quickly and it allows a successful presentation, even at long distances. In fact, it will easily transport indicator rigs and weighted streamers. And due to its well-balanced head, it also provides excellent casting control. Therefore, this impressive line also allows delicate and precise dry fly presentations for convincing tricky fish.

In short: The Amplitude Smooth MPX is the ultimate all-round fly line that allows you to do whatever the conditions require. Due to its extremely versatile performance, it enables you to fish with all relevant techniques in a very successful way – whether dry fly, nymph, wet fly or streamer!
