Nextcast Air Shooting Line Floating Running Line

The shooting head systems from NEXTCAST are becoming increasingly popular. Especially among ambitious salmon and steelhead anglers, a true hype has been ignited in recent years around the well though-out shooting heads. We have also learned to love the adapted, user-friendly tapers and let the terrific casting characteristics put a smile on our faces every time. In addition to the very popular two-handed shooting heads and the matching tips and running lines, the extensive collection also includes very successful lines for modern streamer fishing for trout. We especially like the fact that you can definitely find the right line for every casting style and water condition in the Nextcast range.

The NextCast Shooting Line is a particularly interesting product for many shooting head anglers, because this mono running line floats! Thanks to seven incorporated air channels, the Mono Shooter gets a lot of buoyancy despite the very thin diameter and improves line control on long casts. Especially when fishing with floating or partially floating shooting heads, this feature helps immensely to control the line and the speed of the fly while fishing.

The thin diameter and round line profile reduce friction in the rod guides and make it possible to achieve unimagined distances when casting. Furthermore, the shooter is quite stiff. This prevents unwanted twist and improves handling and shooting characteristics in wet conditions. If there are any kinks or twists in the line, you can easily stretch the running line to eliminate the unevenness.

What we are particularly pleased about: NextCast has packed 90 m on a spool, so you can directly equip several reels with enough Runningline. We recommend 30 m per reel.

We recommend:

  • 38 lb: For all single-handed rod applications and for two-handed rods up to class 8/9.
  • 45 lb: A perfect all-rounder for most two-handed fishing situations.
  • 55 lbs: For heavier two-handed rods or if you prefer a little more grip.

Details:

  • Floating, mono running line
  • 7 inner air channels improve floatability
  • Low friction: perfect for very long distance casts
  • Round line profile
  • Easy handling
  • Excellent durability
  • Low elongation
  • Content: 90 m
