The Fasna F421 Traditional Gape Hook is a jig hook of the latest generation. It has a classic shank length, a traditional bend for the best hooking properties and a thin point that is slightly bent inwards. As a result, it not only penetrates the mouth easily, but also holds the fish securely on the line during the fight. At the same time, the hook is easy to remove. This is helped by the fact that the Fasna hook has no barbs. A very commendable approach!
Like every jig hook, the F 421 is also ideal if your nymph is to be offered close to the bottom. The eye is inclined by almost 45 degrees so that your fly floats 'upside-down' in combination with a slotted tungsten bead and the risk of snags is reduced. This hook is a great choice, especially for modern presentations of Euro nymphing (e.g. French nymphing) and patterns with a shorter body!
