The CND Nordic series was developed by NFisk specifically for the European market and has a clear Scandinavian DNA. The aim was to create a modern Scandinavian interpretation of a classic CND rod and combine the best of both worlds - adapted to the demanding conditions of European rivers. The result is a powerful yet sensitive rod that is characterised by its excellent response, control and versatility.
The CND Nordic GTE Travel 6pc # 8/9 - 13 ft two-handed fly rod is also an ingenious member on your journey, as the 6-piece construction allows the rod to be transported even in your normal travel bag without excess length.
The rod was developed with the aim of integrating a stronger tip than is usual with conventional Scandi rods. At the same time, care was taken to ensure that the action remains perceptible deep into the hand section - even at high basic tension - typical characteristics that we have already learnt to love in other CND rods. However, the adapted action of the rod enables precise stop points to be set with shortened working paths on touch & go casts, thus transferring a lot of speed through the rod tip into the line. This action not only enables precise casts with a tight loop pattern, but also excellent control during the fight.
The typical CND bending behaviour in the lower blank also offers sufficient power reserves to handle heavier Skagit shooting heads or longer spey lines with ease. In addition to its design as a Scandi-style rod, the Nordic GTE rod therefore offers a versatile range of applications for two-handed casters of all techniques.
Over 100 different carbon prepregs were tested during production in order to find the ideal combination for the desired rod action. The carbon used is characterised by micro-pitch technology, which guarantees exceptional resilience and speed. An additional epoxy coating from Hitena on the ring bindings ensures maximum durability. An Alps reel seat and high-quality Korkers round off the equipment. Each rod is supplied in a robust Cordura tube.

Designed for situations where a 14-foot rod is too unwieldy, but where you still need a full two-handed option with plenty of casting power. Extremely powerful and fast - ideal for heavy sink tips and waters where very large fish can be expected, such as Gaula, Orkla or Mörrum. Weight: 212 g.
