Product information "Arctic Silver Rocket MD Fly Line slow intermediate"
The Arctic Silver Rocket fly line is perfectly tailored to the requirements of sea trout anglers - and at the same time lets you score on trout rivers or for asp, sea bass and co. An extremely versatile line that combines power and precision with its sophisticated taper design and ensures extremely long casts and stable loops.
- Float / Slow Intermediate: This variant combines a floating running line with a gentle intermediate sinking phase (0.5 IPS or 1.3 cm/sec.). Perfect if you want to keep the fly just below the surface. The absolute all-rounder for the coast and a perfect choice for streamer fishing in light currents for sea bass and other predators.
A special highlight: The Rocket utilises the innovative Micro Diameter design from Arctic Silver for its running line. The diameter is extremely reduced, which noticeably reduces friction in the rod rings and enables higher line speeds - without any unnecessary drag. As a result, the line shoots more cleanly and you can gain distance even when the wind is whistling or you are casting weighted patterns.
The Rocket gives you flexibility and covers many typical situations on the water. Thanks to its compact Head Length of 9.14m to 9.75m (depending on the line class), you can get your fly to distance without unnecessary empty casts - even in strong winds. The approx. 0.1 mm thicker handling zone between the short rear taper and the thin micro diameter running line provides more control when stripping and casting and is particularly practical when your hands are wet or cold. This part of the taper also stabilises your cast, regardless of whether you are casting overhead or making a wide spey cast. In short: The Rocket from Arctic Silver is a very universal line with an easy-to-shoot coating that is not just a hot tip for sea trout anglers!

Arctic Silvers Micro Diameter Design (MD): These lines are characterised by an extremely small diameter, which is between 0.75 mm (#3 to #6) and 0.82 mm (from #7). They are therefore much thinner than conventional fly lines! This results in less friction in the rings, excellent wind resistance, hardly any air resistance when casting and, of course, more space on the reel. In addition, when the line is lifted from the surface of the water, less splash water is created, which reduces the scaring effect on fish. Its core consists of a stable line braid that is extremely durable and bonded to the coating.

About ArcticSilver:
First of all, the Norwegian manufacturer ArcticSilver is known for a truly innovative range of fly rods. All of these rods have one unique feature in common: the so-called Free-Flex-System including the Quick-Lock reel seat. This patented design allows the blank to swing inside the handle, which creates outstanding casting and fish fighting properties. In fact, ArcticSilver offers many different models that are suitable for a variety of different fly fishing disciplines – whether casting delicate dry flies for trout or massive streamers for large predators. In addition, ArcticSilver also presents a large selection of modern fly lines that have a very thin diameter due to their so-called Micro Diameter (MD) design. This design allows record-breaking casting distances thanks to minimum friction in the rod guides and hardly any air resistance. In fact, these advantages are not only noticeable in combination with an ArcticSilver fly rod, but also with rods from other manufacturers.
