adh-fishing Workshop: Euro Nymphing (with Paulo and Alex)
Into the new year, into a new season! Just in time for the start of the 2026 trout season, Alex and Paulo cordially invite you to our new workshop dates. The courses have a special focus on fishing at the start of the season. Together we will explore different techniques and tactics to cope with the often challenging conditions and the still rather sluggish fish. We will focus on choosing the right tackle and suitable flies, water and insect science, the optimal approach to different spots and many other exciting topics. Fishing with modern Euro Nymph techniques will be a central focus, but dry flies and streamers will also be used. Look forward to an inspiring and instructive start to the new trout season - we can't wait to get out on the water with you!
ALEX & PAULO
Your instructors each have over 15 years of experience in nymph fishing with modern short-line techniques. They have constantly deepened and passed on their knowledge through numerous workshops, practical demos and appearances at trade fairs. With their expertise, they have also played a key role in shaping today's product range - always with a focus on practice, innovation and the joy of fishing.
The course at the start of the season with Alex and Paulo will take place in the NRW area (approx. 100 km around Aachen). The exact water will be announced, because we want to create the best conditions for a successful and above all instructive course, depending on the water level and weather conditions. In addition to the correct casting and fly-tying techniques, we will be focussing in particular on the coordination of equipment, the assembly of leader systems and different nymph rigs. Other key topics include reading the water and recognising good fishing spots, the right choice of fly and the right presentation depending on the water, spot and time of year. If required and interested, nymph set-ups from various manufacturers are available for hire.

The workshop is aimed at both beginners and advanced fly fishers. However, basic knowledge of fly casting is a prerequisite, the special casting technique with a Euro-Nymphing outfit will be worked out and learnt on site. The maximum number of participants per session is 6.
