The Fly Fishing Nation Superleggera is a high-precision fly rod that has been specially developed for the requirements of modern Euro nymph fishing. This technique, which has its origins in the competition scene, relies on extremely direct contact with the nymph and an almost cordless presentation. As a result, even the finest touches can be felt at great depths or in fast currents. The Superleggera utilises an ultra-light, sensitive tip and an exceptionally fast reset force so that bites can be transmitted immediately and the smallest hooks can be set safely.
The blank is made of high-quality Toray-Japan carbon with a 45-degree fibre orientation, which prevents twisting and at the same time guarantees stability and low weight. The new carbon handle and the hand-woven carbon reel seat combine function with clear, technical aesthetics. In addition, the bite is not "lost" in the hand part - you can feel it through the blank into the carbon handle as if you were holding the line directly in your hand. Thanks to the integrated balancing system, the rod can be precisely adjusted to different reel weights, so that fatigue-free fishing is possible even over many hours - an important advantage for typical Euro nymph drifts that require constant control over the rod tip and nymph.
The sensitive tip facilitates precise lifting, lowering and tracking of the nymph along the edge of the current. At the same time, the powerful lower blank area provides enough backbone to guide even larger trout or barbel safely to the landing net. The Superleggera is therefore aimed at ambitious fly fishermen who want to combine maximum sensitivity with reliable power transmission and are not afraid to hold the latest technology in their hands when it comes to fly rods.
