Zpey Zalt Minitip shooting heads have been designed to perform under the most ideal conditions for coastal sea trout fishing. Conditions that are marked by wind, choppy water surface and waves. Here, the 9 meter short, powerful taper reduces false casting to a minimum, dominantly turns over flies against a head wind and makes distance casting a walk in the park. The 1,8 meter long intermediate sinking tip fishes below the waves and thus provides improved bite detection, hook setting and allows for quick fly retrieval. Zpey Zalt shooting heads feature a floating belly that makes the line a pleasure to cast compared to full intermediate lines which at times can feel heavy and jerky.
A really solid shooting head for coastal sea trout fishing and other cold water species. Due to its powerful taper and short length the 18g (#8) version is perfectly suitable for efficient pike fishing!
