Product information "Veniard Quill Body"
Quill Bodies are the pinfeathers of rooster neck-feathers. They are tied in with the tip - side at the end of the hook shank and wound towards the hook eye to make realistic looking, nicely tapering abdomen on dry flies, wet flies, and nymphs.
To make the quills easier to handle they should be soaked in water before tying.
