Product information "Veniard CDC Super Select Combo Packs"
Cul de Canard (CDC) has been used since the 1920s to tie filigree dry flies. But it took another 60 years until these highly buoyant feathers (due to preen oil produced by the duck's preen gland) became really popular. Especially in France, you can't find a tying table without high-quality CDC feathers. No surprise, because CDC is still buoyant after becoming waterlogged. The perfect natural material to tie a wing on a small dry or build up a slim body. Today you can even find fine nymph patterns tied with CDC. Simply one of the most universal tying materials available!
Veniard's CDC Super Select Combo Packs include four different colors each. Each color has 20 feathers, so 80 feathers overall. Hand-selected by very critical employees at Veniard. That way you can be sure to get only the best feathers for your money. You can choose between two different color schemes. Set 1 features natural colors, slightly darker - a great all-around pack. Set 2 is the best choice if you're aiming for lighter colored flies. Or you can go for both and don't have to worry about it when you need that one specific material for a cool new pattern in the future :)
Set 1: natural grey, olive, light Dun, fiery brown
Set 2: natural khaki, natural white, yellow, silver grey
