This is because you can weight your nymphs or streamers in a targeted manner with this clip lead and fish faster and more effectively at the right depth. Simply clip one or more split shots of the desired size in front of your fly on the leader. That's it! A split shot also gives streamers a strong jigging action. Without the fish directly feeling the additional weight when taking the fly.

The Umpqua 4-way Split Shot Assortment includes four different sizes of clamping lead. This allows you to react quickly and easily to the respective situation on the water! Our tip: Combine an easy-going nymph with a clip lead that you place approx. 10 - 20 cm above the tippet. This "rolling nymph" technique is very effective for catching trout, grayling and especially barbel that feed close to the bottom!
