This backing is currently one of the best on the market. It is round braided and extremely abrasion-resistant thanks to its clean and tight braiding.
Thanks to the small diameter, direct contact with the fish is maintained at all times, so changes of direction can be mastered without any problems. The backing capacity of the existing reel can also be doubled, with a higher load capacity at the same time. All fly fishermen looking for a high-end backing solution for extreme fishing have come to the right place!

Tip: To increase the optimum knot strength with very thin high-performance backing, double the backing in the knot. This doubles the surface area in the knot and increases the knot strength enormously. The resulting "double loop" also has a positive effect: the surface area when looping in is doubled and possible cutting is prevented.
This product was presented by the Fly Fishing Forum in the "Equipment in practice test" section. The conclusion:
"For us, after extensive SW testing in the Red Sea, Ultimate X is currently one of the best backings on the market.
