Product information "Textreme Antron Yarn"
The Italian manufacturer Textreme is known for innovative fly tying materials with an outstanding quality and good value for money. Further, the extensive colour selection and the great durability of these products leave nothing to be desired, and therefore they will easily please the most demanding fly tyers.
Antron Yarn is a highly versatile material that should not be missing in your arsenal. This synthetic fibre is particularly popular for making the famous Klinkhammer dry fly. Here the polyamide yarn is used in the parachute tying method as a sighter (as a so-called 'post'), which is treated with a bit of float preparation. But Antron is also very popular as a bright tag for nymphs or emergers. Besides that you can use it to tie your own strike indicators.
Antron Yarn from Textreme is a particularly brilliant polyamide yarn with slightly wavy fibres. The fluorescent colours provide excellent visibility, while the more natural colours can be used for making bodies, tails or (under)wings. This tying material is also very suitable for tying shiny and colourful ribbings. Here you can determine the thickness yourself by taking the appropriate amount of fibres from the bundle.
