We're thrilled to introduce the WAKU STROFT PREDATOR soft bait series (available in 10 cm, 14 cm, 18 cm, and 22 cm). These soft baits were developed based on extensive testing of the renowned STROFT fishing lines and are specifically designed to irresistibly attract predatory fish, especially pike and zander.
STROFT's underlying research has shown that movement is the crucial and most consistent factor for reliable bites. The STROFT PREDATOR perfectly mimics a wounded, natural fish – identifiable by a pronounced tail kick and a synchronized head movement. This optimal action, made possible by precise body design and material flexibility, surpasses both overly realistic and excessively active soft baits.
In addition to movement, the STROFT PREDATOR generates turbulent pressure waves starting from the head and mid-section. This is achieved through strategically placed "breaking edges" such as protruding gill covers, pectoral, and pelvic fins. The unique trapezoidal scale structure generates additional micro-turbulent currents, sending irresistible stimuli to predatory fish.
While movement is crucial, color variations remain important. Predatory fish develop a "habituation effect" to consistent colors. The STROFT PREDATOR counteracts this by adding subtle, additional color accents, such as red inner gills and gradually fading red fins, which provide extra visual appeal.
