Daiwa Procyon Spin Spinning Rod

With the Procyon Spin spinning rods Daiwa introduces a completely new rod series for 2021. It includes a lineup of different spinning rods that covers all areas of modern predator fishing from ultralight and finesse fishing to bigbaiting. In addition to a modern, high-performance blank and high-quality components, the rods offer an incredibly attractive price-performance ratio. The perfect choice for demanding, but also price-conscious predator anglers!

In the rod blanks Daiwas exclusive HVF carbon fiber (high volume fiber) was used in conjunction with the X45 carbon technology. The HVF carbon fiber has a reduced resin amount, which makes the blank faster and lighter at the same time. The X45 carbon fiber construction, in which the carbon mats are arranged and woven at different angles, provides the corresponding power and tensile strength. The result: super light, fast and responsive blanks that perfectly transmit vibrations from the tip to the handpiece. Lure control and casting precision benefit enormously as a result! In the design of the handle of the rods, particular attention was paid to optimal balance of the blanks - so especially in the 2.70 m rods, counter weights were integrated into the handle, which perfectly balance the rods in conjunction with light reels. Hours of fatigue-free fishing is therefore guaranteed.

The rods are rounded off by Daiwa's exclusive Air Sensor reel seat in a special chameleon finish, which is seamlessly integrated into the ergonomic EVA handle. The extremely lightweight Seaguide guides with Zirconia inserts support the fast recovery as well as the balance of the rods, and are perfect for all types of braided lines. Modern but timeless rods that are truly perfectly matched visually and functionally.

The two UL models of the Procyon series with 3-12 g casting weight are equipped with spliced-in full carbon fiber tip and power backbone. Ideal features to distance with ultralight lures and guide them with a lot of finesse. With the power backbone you set the hook even at longer distances and the sensitive tip prevents fish from getting out in the fight. Lure, bottom or fish contact are transferred directly to the handle - this makes it easier to feel water structures and even the most timid touches can be converted. Perfect, therefore, for fishing with free-jigs, Cheburashka systems, dropshot rigs, jika jigs, and Co.
