Savage Gear Salmonoid SG6 Seatrout Spinning Rod

The Salmonoid SG6 by Savage Gear lives up to its name, as it was explicitly developed for demanding fishing of salmonids along the coast and rivers. Depending on the length and casting weight, the rod covers a wide range of applications in fishing for both salmon and sea trout with light to medium-weight lures. Two main factors were particularly emphasized in the design of the rod action: maximum casting distance even with lighter lures and perfect fighting properties, ensuring that even with small hooks, large fish don't escape during the fight. A semi-parabolic bending curve with crisp recovery speed achieves this balance. Savage Gear calls this action "Moderate Fast."

The components of the rod leave nothing to be desired (especially considering the price). High-quality Torayca carbon blanks from Japan have been equipped with lightweight, durable SeaGuide CCS guides to create a perfectly balanced rod and minimize friction during casting, especially with braided lines. The high-quality Fuji reel seat is beautifully integrated into the flawless cork handle.

A great rod for hunting migratory salmonids and all this with a compelling price-performance ratio!
