Everyone who has ever found a large shoal of perch knows how quickly the bites occur and how quickly the swarm can disappear again. To fish as effectively as possible in a shoal, or to be able to present the lure at the different depths, a perch-leader is the ideal rig. The leader system offers multiple hooks with appealing decors and allows for a presentation that is not possible with a single lure. Of course, the leader system also works great for saltwater fishing for herring or mackerel.

While perch-leaders are generally designed for spin fishing, the individual lures, or much rather flies, can be presented individually with the fly rod, turning the leader into a perchfly set as well.
