With the latest generation of the G4 Pro Jacket, Simms presents a consistent evolution of its flagship product – uncompromising in function, protection, and durability.
This premium wading jacket is designed for tough, intense use on the water and combines cutting-edge materials with a well-thought-out, practical design. At its core is the three-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell, now used in an even more robust yet lighter version. The outer material on the shoulders, hood, and arms is made of durable 80D nylon, while the body area features a slightly lighter 70D fabric. Both variants offer maximum protection under extreme weather conditions – breathable, wind- and waterproof, and extremely abrasion-resistant.
Particularly striking is the reduced, clean design, which forgoes unnecessary embellishments while integrating numerous functional details. Nine strategically placed pockets – including two large chest pockets with water-resistant zippers, lined handwarmer pockets with access to the waders, a sleeve pocket, and multiple inner pockets – offer ample storage for everything you need to have at hand on the water. A fold-out fly patch area and an integrated tool dock on the front provide quick access to essential tools like pliers or tippet spools.
The extended back section ensures reliable protection even during deep wading, while a sturdy D-ring on the neck allows for attaching a landing net.
The three-way adjustable storm hood features a laminated brim and can be snugly fitted without restricting visibility. The central YKK® AquaGuard® VISLON® front zipper is water-resistant and exceptionally smooth-running – an important detail in rain or cold weather. Inner cuffs with stretch and additional adjustment at the hem reliably prevent water from entering.
