The well-known Hagane Gear is manufactured in a cold forging process and ensures that the reel retains its extremely precise, smooth and powerful running over a long time. Like the X-Ship gear system, the extremely precisely milled Micromodule Gear is designed for maximum precision and not only optimizes the running behavior of the reel even further, but also improves power transmission. Equally high quality is the bail made of one piece, whereby Shimano has not only significantly improved the stability, but also ensures a smooth guidance of the line, without annoying edges. The bail is attached to the MGL rotor, which is made of the well-known Ci4+ material. This minimizes the weight and starting inertia of the rotor and the special design noticeably improves the balance of the reel. Thus, the reel has an extremely low starting resistance and can be fished the entire day without fatigue. Further, the reel has a Long Stroke spool for better casting distance, which is also noticeably increased by the Aero Wrap line wrapping.
