Unlike conventional baitcasting reels, the Curado DC does not have a magnetic or centrifugal brake that regulates the spool rotation during the cast, but the I-DC4 technology. This brake system, which is automatically powered by the spool rotation, has a computer chip built into it that measures the spool rotation up to 1000 times a second and independently makes the correct settings for optimal casting. Only small presettings should be made and nothing more stands in the way of true casting pleasure.
