Especially in saltwater fishing, this material shows its strengths — the 9-strand round-braided backing is particularly abrasion-resistant and the ideal choice when fishing around coral, reefs, or sharp rocks. The individual fibers are made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, which ensures a long lifespan and prevents mold issues. PE is the material of choice when aiming for the highest possible breaking strength with minimal diameter.
The high visibility of the backing gives you better control during the fight, while the smooth surface protects your rod guides, reduces water and air resistance, and lays evenly on the spool.
