The new Scierra SALIS is a very versatile fly rod. Whether you fish it coastal for sea trout, for pike or other predators, the SALIS performs as a reliable rod. The manufacture in this price range is outstanding and the components are well chosen:
- Blank made of 40T Carbon made in JAPAN
- Premium Cork from Portugal
- Stripping and snake guides by Pacific Bay (100% saltwater resistant)
- Alps corrosion free aluminum reel seat
- Discreet hook eye
We like the clear blue finish of the blank and it reminds of the legendary Guideline LPXe RS. The different is that the SALIS sales for half the price and comes with guides that really don’t rust ;-)
Anyway, the blank matches saltwater fishery with blue guides windings and stripping guide inlays.
