The Strategic Trout Series offers dry fly lines with three different head lengths – perfectly tailored to various water sizes, such as small creeks, medium, or large rivers. Whether it's your skill level, personal casting preference, or ideal line length – this series covers it all. All variants feature comparable tapers that provide consistent casting feel and maximum control. They enable precise handling of long leaders and an especially delicate fly presentation. Whether overhead casting or using Spey techniques – the thoughtful design handles both with ease. No matter if your rod has a slow, medium, or fast action – with Strategic Trout, you’ll place your fly precisely and elegantly.

Like all Amplitude fly lines, the Amplitude Smooth Strategic series is equipped with AST+ (Advanced Shooting Technology). This additive is integrated into the line and ensures a smooth surface even after long-term use. This is made possible through diffusion – the additive migrates from within the coating to the surface, continuously maintaining it – similar to the skin’s natural moisturizing process. The result: a line that remains smooth 60% longer and causes 40% less drag than comparable lines on the market. Just like the textured Amplitude series, Amplitude Smooth lines feature a line tip with Floating Texture. This textured part provides maximum floatability at the tip, allowing for quiet pickup and easy mending.

The Trout Strategic 10.5 was developed for medium to large rivers. With a head length of approx. 10.5 meters, it is extremely versatile and well-suited for most dry fly fishing styles. It is short enough to perform well in tight waters while offering enough length for long casts.
