All Absolute monofilament leaders from Scientific Anglers are made from a special nylon blend that drastically reduces the absorption of water while ensuring optimum suppleness for high knot strength. Absolute nylon leaders and tippets have a 29% higher wet knot strength compared to previous Scientific Anglers materials and up to 40% higher wet knot strength compared to many other products on the market. The new Absolute range from SA comes with environmentally friendly paper-based packaging and is now 100% recyclable. All materials, colours and other components of the packaging are fully biodegradable to protect our rivers and oceans and reduce our ecological footprint.
The Absolute Trout Presentation leader is a whopping 14 ft. (4.26 m) long and is therefore suitable for particularly fine presentations with the dry fly. With this fine leader, you can take on the professors among the trout and grayling on both running and still waters. The strong butt section of the drawn leader ensures that the energy from the cast is perfectly absorbed. The long progressive taper enables a harmonious roll-out and an extra delicate presentation with a minimal spooking effect. The material is particularly supple so that your fly lands on the water like a feather and you get a drag-free drift.
