As the name suggests, the Savage Gear SGS 6 Long Casting is designed for long casts. The rod series covers medium-heavy fishing for marine predators, specifically sea trout and sea bass. Of course, it also works well in freshwater, for example, for zander, pike or asp.
The fast yet forgiving 40t Toray Blank is ideal for bringing a variety of baits to long distances and close to the fish. Especially in bass fishing, a combination of distance and precision is important and Savage Gear delivers just that with this rod. Even in the most difficult conditions, this rod shows its full potential and transports our bait to the required distance even against the wind.
The rod has a lot of backbone and can handle large fish without any problems. As a result, it can also be used for light fishing in Norway. The tip action forgives aggressive head shakes and fast escapes, allowing us to fish with relatively thin lines for even more casting distance.
The rod is equipped with high quality components: Fuji K-Series rings are made of stainless steel with SiC inserts.
