The Royal Wulff Triangle Taper Cold Seatrout & Predator Salt Intermediate Sink 8 was developed for demanding situations in cold saltwater where the fly has to be brought quickly into deeper water layers. It is based on Lee Wulff's legendary triangle taper concept and combines its proven casting properties with a very fast sinking coating. This line is therefore aimed specifically at anglers who primarily fish for active predators in deeper water from a boat.

The continuously tapered triangle taper with long front taper also ensures even energy transfer and stable loops in this sinking version. Despite the high sink rate, the line can be cast in a controlled manner and guided cleanly. Overhead casts are powerful, while the weight shifted to the rear ensures efficient line control, especially when casting in the water. This taper really comes into its own from the boat when depth needs to be reached quickly.

The line's butt is designed to sink quickly, while the running line is designed as an intermediate. As a result, the entire line sinks much more evenly and remains easier to control at depth. With its high sinking speed, it quickly reaches the desired water depth and reliably brings streamers into the effective range of sea trout, sea bass and other predatory fish. It is less suitable for wade fishing, but really comes into its own when fishing from a boat.
