The MDC Spey Tips make it possible to adapt the line quickly and easily to different conditions without affecting the balanced casting behaviour of the shooting head. The 18 ft long tips are designed to allow precise line and fly control while providing a stable, clean presentation. The tapered design creates an excellent turn-over, even with longer leaders or demanding presentations.
The MDC Spey Tips are specially designed for Rio's Spey and Skagit shooting heads, but can also be easily combined with many other shooting head systems. The high-quality coating ensures a smooth surface, low friction in the rings and a long service life, even with intensive use under demanding conditions.
The MDC tips from Rio with a length of 18ft. can in principle be combined with any shooting head. However, we recommend these tips primarily for use with Scandi shooting heads, for long casts on wide and large rivers.
