The Rio Elite Grand is a modern WF fly line that combines all current Rio technologies for a truly impressive casting performance. It has the slickest, most durable coating on the market due to the innovative SlickCast Technology. Therefore, it has an extremely low friction when shooting through the rod guides, which creates phenomenal casting properties that will last for a very long time due to its impressive durability.
Its short and front-loaded head with a relatively high weight makes it absolutely great for modern fast action rods. Due to its powerful casting properties it will easily transport indicators, polyleaders and weighted streamers. Since more weight is distributed towards the front of the line, it loads rods very quickly and it allows perfect roll and Spey casts. Therefore, it’s a great choice for targeting trout and other species in all kinds of streams – whether in a tiny creek with limited casting space or a larger river that requires longer casts. Regardless of the casting distance, the low-stretch ConnectCore Plus provides a direct contact to the fly and it enables effective hook sets at all distances.
