“Plopp...plopp...” and then a solid top water kill – nothing is more exciting than an aggressive strike on a popper fly! Especially on warm summer days, pikes are willing to hit the surface for anything that moves and disturbs them. If you strip this popper around water lilies or above sea grass, it is just a matter of time until your fly disappears in a splash!
The Pike Terror Poppers are tied on 5 mm pike tubes which means that you can use your favourite hook and replace it whenever it is stump or bent open. The head is made out of tough plastic material (no soft foam) and the eyes are sunk-in so that it will withstand many pike attacks. The Snow Runner tail moves even in between any strip and decent flash finishes the fly with some more attraction.
Two versions available:
- Head diameter 15 mm: Perfect for perch, pikeperch asp.
- Head Diameter 23 mm: Make a bit more trouble and therefore our choice for pike!
Why a tube popper?
It popps even more because you pull the line alway straight in one line and the fly keeps more straight than with normally tied on streamers at the front end (they tend to buckle what you dont want with poppers).
