The Patagonia Micro Puff® Hoody has the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation jacket on the market. This ultra-light, water-repellent jacket is insulated with PlumaFill synthetic fibers, a revolutionary material that is nearly as light and warm as down. This makes the jacket ideal as an insulating layer under a wading jacket or as an outer layer on dry days.
The Patagonia Micro Puff® Hoody combines outstanding warmth with minimal weight and maximum packability. Its ultralight, windproof Pertex® Quantum shell is made from 100% NetPlus® recycled nylon, sourced from discarded fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution. A durable water-repellent finish free from PFAS protects against moisture. Inside, the innovative PlumaFill insulation made from recycled polyester delivers a warmth-to-weight ratio comparable to down while maintaining the durability and resilience of synthetic fill. The special quilting construction keeps the insulation fibers in place and minimizes cold spots.
For comfort and functionality, the jacket features a front zipper with storm flap and chin guard. Two zippered handwarmer pockets and two spacious interior pockets provide practical storage; the left exterior pocket also doubles as a stuff sack with carabiner loop. Elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem help retain warmth, while the athletic cut ensures full freedom of movement – even with a backpack or climbing harness.
