The Patagonia Corduroy Cap is a lightweight and extremely durable hat made from 100% organic cotton corduroy. The brim is crafted from Patagonia’s innovative NetPlus material, which is recycled from old fishing nets. Additionally, the cap includes an internal headband made from organic cotton. The organic cotton canvas ensures itch-free comfort—even during sweaty activities. As a result, the Corduroy Cap is not only fully sustainably produced but also impresses with thoughtful technical features that ensure high wearing comfort—no matter what you're up to!
- NetPlus: Our beloved oceans—home to many fish species that are highly valued by anglers, such as GT or tarpon—are suffocating in plastic waste. An estimated 8.8 million tons of plastic enter the oceans every year. Fishing nets are among the most harmful forms of this pollution. Around 650,000 marine animals get entangled in so-called ghost nets annually. That’s why using NetPlus materials in Patagonia products is so important. This recycled nylon material is made from discarded fishing nets. In close cooperation with fishermen, hundreds of tons of abandoned nets are collected, cleaned, sorted, and processed in Chile into 100% recycled nylon pellets. These so-called NetPlus pellets can then be transformed into new plastic products, components, or fibers—for a sustainable future!
