Product information "Pacchiarini Waterpushing Disc"
The Waterpushing Discs from Pacchiarini are round discs made of foam. When tying pike streamers, they are put onto the hook shank as a finishing touch and ensure that your pattern generates a lot of pressure under water when stripping. And it is pressure waves that often make pike take notice of our streamers.
The idea of the Waterpushing Discs was mainly spread by Niklaus Bauer, who also uses the foam to ensure that the streamer sinks slowly and can be fished very shallow - for example over weed banks. Each disc has a diameter of 2 cm and therefore fits pike streamers of different sizes.
Tip:
You only need one disc per streamer. To fix the foam disc, you can first apply some epoxy to a base of tying thread on the hook leg. The Waterpushing Disc is then simply pushed over the eye of the hook and sits securely in position.
