NextCast TroutFinder
The TroutFinder is the little brother of the Zone shooting heads and is ideal for shooting head fishing for trout and the like in creeks and rivers. Whether on a Trout-Spey rod, a light switch rod, or your single-handed streamer rod, the Zone loads efficiently even with limited backspace and delivers heavy sink tips and weighted streamers effectively to the opposite bank. The length and taper of the line allow for clean turnovers, even with heavy T-tips. However, more delicate presentations with small wet flies or soft hackle patterns are also possible using longer polyleaders. Much like the Zone lines, this line can be seen as a hybrid between Scandi and Skagit – the power and energy transfer of a Skagit with the graceful presentation characteristics of a Scandi shooting head.
The TroutFinder 2D lines are designed to function as a multi-tip system. Head + sink tip together make up the final casting weight. This interchangeable tip system offers maximum flexibility on the water and allows for quick adaptation to varying water conditions.

The TroutFinder series is now also available as a completely integrated line system – with a built-in running line. This new version not only provides a more stable loop formation overall, but also makes mending significantly easier, improves handling during the swing, and makes stripping in more pleasant and efficient. Especially in small waters and with varying current patterns, the integrated version showcases its strengths: fewer transitions and more control = cleaner presentations and easier stripping of the fly. If you're aiming for maximum efficiency and performance without system disruptions, this is the all-in-one worry-free package.
Note: This line should be combined with a tip to function optimally. The final casting weight is therefore composed of body + tip.
