Product information "Monic Advanced Trout Fly Line"
This Monic fly line is a real all-round line and this is not only due to the ingenious taper of the Advanced, which enables easy casting at maximum distances, but also to the coating, which is really fishable at any time of year - from freezing point to the tropics!
The Monic Advanced line has a very strong taper which is characterised by easy handling, stability when casting and maximum distances. An 11 metre long butt with a higher weight in the front section enables the rod to be loaded perfectly with just a few empty casts and even larger streamers to be fired with ease. The balanced taper also ensures that smaller flies such as dry flies or nymphs can be transported with pinpoint accuracy without the line losing control. The core of the line consists of a braided core with low stretch that does not tend to curl, which helps the line to retain its shape even around freezing point. This makes the line suitable for streamers in both summer and winter, for example when fishing for char, sea trout, grayling and many other fish species.
What is remarkable about the fly line, however, is the coating of the line, which consists of the advanced advanced coating that remains supple at low temperatures and does not start to soften or even stick in tropical heat! The synthetic materials used are also 100% naturally buoyant, which means that the line floats high and doesn't start to sink in after a while, which is brilliant! STS smoothing technology gives the line the finishing touch. This technology processes the plastic mixture so evenly and effectively that it results in an extremely low-friction surface. Even after a long time, no material escapes and the line shoots through the rings like a dream for a long time without any signs of fatigue. The PVC-free coating is therefore a shooting-friendly, highly buoyant coating that can be used from icy mountain lakes to tropical flats!

About Monic:
Monic's high-quality lines are made in the USA and offer fly fishers a PVC-free alternative to many other fly lines on the market. No harmful chemicals are used in Monic fly lines. All components that make up a Monic line are 100% recyclable. And because no PVC is used, the coatings contain no volatile and harmful chemicals that have to be added to PVC to make a typical fly line. The American brand, which was founded in the 1980s, recognises that there is an essential and vital link between a healthy habitat and better fishing. Therefore, one of Monic's founding principles is to develop and deliver the best performing fly lines that also help protect our waters for future generations of anglers.
