Product information "Metz Half Magnum Streamer Neck Grade #2 Silver"
The Metz Half Magnum Neck Grade #2 Silver is a high-quality hackle specially developed for demanding fly tyers and offers an excellent balance of quality, versatility and value for money. As a Half Magnum variant, it impresses with a particularly high feather density in the neck area and delivers stiff, elastic hackle fibres that are ideal for tying clean flies. The even structure of the feathers enables precise winding and ensures balanced, professional fly profiles.
Compared to standard necks, the Half Magnum Neck offers a higher number of usable feathers with a wide range of sizes. Magnum necks are preferred for tying streamers and wet flies as they provide longer and stronger feathers. The feathers are evenly graded and cover many common hook sizes - from smaller to larger patterns, although it is a natural product and slight variations are possible.
The Grade #2 classification at Metz stands for very good quality with a high number of feathers and solid uniformity. Compared to Grade #1, the selection is somewhat less stringent, but still offers excellent performance and a high number of usable springs.
