Ephemera vulgata are amongst the most abundant mayfly species in Europe. During the months of May and June, when these large flies are swarming to drop their eggs on the water surface, a good imitation should not be missing in your fly box. The wing is made out of CDC-feathers and swims naturally, and the long pheasant tail lies perfectly on the surface film.
