Hunt's High & Dry is a pure silicia powder with added desiccant. It is perfect for drying your dry flies quickly and making them buoyant. Especially for slightly larger dry fly patterns (including CDC flies), this simple method works well. Simply place your dry fly on the leader in the powder, carefully close the lid (don't click it completely shut) and shake a few times. The silica powder removes the liquid from the fly and the desiccant makes it float perfectly for the next cast.
Advantage to conventional floatants: nothing spills, nothing smears and you're ready to go in seconds, presenting your fly to a rising fish.
