High and Dry Liquid Floatant is an award-winning floatant from High-N-Dry Fishing Products. When applied to the fly, the preparation ensures that a protective layer is placed around the fly, keeping moisture or water out. This means that the materials of the fly cannot become saturated and the fly floats on the water surface for a long time. And this is possible even after mending or in strong currents with a lot of turbulence. This floating preparation is a real all-purpose miracle, because it works not only with dubbings or feathers, but also with special tying materials like CDC and Foam!
The liquid comes in a container specifically designed for dipping a fly. Simply hold the fly in the generous opening of the container and dip. The container is made of high-density polyethylene and has a silicone seal in the lid. This is really thoughtful, because leaking swim prep in a bag is a huge mess.
The lid also has a safety line, so you can leave the lid out of the way while dipping.
The price/performance ratio of this float prep is really great, because not only can you handle all materials with the liquid, there are 2.5 ounces in the container. That equates to a whole 67 grams of float prep!
