The Hanák Competition Wave II is a specially developed fly rod series designed for delicate dry fly and modern nymph fishing, offering both ambitious beginners and advanced fly anglers a balanced combination of performance, precision, and sensitivity. The rods are built in four sections, making them especially travel-friendly, and are delivered in a practical fabric rod sock.
The special blank construction of the Wave II Nymph allows for the use of particularly fine tippets and the smallest nymphs. Thanks to the increased sensitivity and feedback of the rod, not only is bite detection improved, but hook-setting efficiency is also significantly enhanced. At the same time, the rod’s progressive action helps safely play and land even strong fish – without the risk of line breakage or hook pull-outs.
The 275 cm and 290 cm models are true all-rounders and are not only suitable for nymph fishing but also excel in dry fly and wet fly fishing. These rods are particularly versatile and can showcase their strengths in a variety of waters – from small streams to larger rivers.
