The Pat‘s Jiggy Nymph is tied on a FM5130 Long Shank Jig Hook and it imitates a stonefly larva. The nymph swims "upside-down" thanks to the jig hook. Therefore, it's no problem if the fly touches the ground. It is a successful pattern in many rivers and lakes for trout and grayling. Further, the rubber legs create a very tempting movement and appearance.
We recommend to match the colour of the fly to the colour of the ground. In short: the darker the stones, the darker the fly. And due to a large variety of colours, you will always have the right pattern at hand!
