A dubbing needle is an important tool if you work a lot with dubbing loops or split thread technique. The dubbing, which is twisted, for example, in a loop, is often brittle and the fibers do not stand out nicely. With a dubbing needle you make sure that there is order in the loop again and all materials stand out again nicely before you bind the loop as a body. But a needle is also a useful tool to help fix eyes on a streamer or to put small glue dots on a dry fly.
