Long fibre is a synthetic tying material that can be used in many different ways, especially for streamers. These approx. 5cm long fibres are very tear-resistant and have a great wavy structure, which gives your pattern a lot of volume. The fibres are fixed at one end on a robust band. On the one hand, this has the advantage that the material does not spread on the tying table. On the other hand, it is also possible to use Long Fiber as a brush and wrap the narrow fibres around the hook shank. There are no limits to your creativity!
The wide range of colours of the Long Fibre goes from natural tones to bright attraction colours. Dark grains add contrast to the material and give your streamer a very realistic look. With every slight movement of the fly, light is refracted on the corrugated surface of the Long Fiber. In combination with the high mobility of the material, this creates a very lively impression. This is another reason why we consider Long Fiber to be a very interesting modern tying material that should not be missing from any streamer junky's tying kit! No matter if you are tying streamers for pike, perch, zander and co. or for tropical saltwater: Long Fiber provides you with many options. These unique fibres can even be used for sea trout and salmon flies.
