Hareline Comparadun Fur

Anchored deeply in the surface film with a natural, delicate silhouette ‘Comparaduns’ are considered one of the most successful dry fly patterns when the hatch has just started. The main characteristic of these dry flies is their delicate, upright wing keeping the fly afloat without adding too much bulk.

Hareline Comparadun fur is an excellent choice for tying delicate dry fly wings due to their thin and straight hair with fine tips – regardless whether you are tying upright wings for hackled- or parachute flies or even split wings for spent spinner patterns. Naturally these furs work great for super dense deer hair bodies and caddis wings ala ‘Deer Hair Caddis’ as well. Super easy to work with on delicate flies in sizes #14, #16 and smaller.

About Hareline:

Hareline started in 1981 in a private kitchen and has grown over time into a large company with nearly 1,700 square meters of production space. Based in Oregon, USA, the company now produces and distributes thousands of products that fly tyers around the world appreciate. Dubbing, in particular, has earned a place in many tying desks, but the remaining materials and accessories also impress with quality and a fair price.
