The Chadwicks 477 Wool Substitute is a classic dubbing yarn for tying wet flies and nymphs. In fact, it is an extremely accurate substitute for the Chadwicks 477 Wool – the exact material that the British writer Frank Sawyer used for tying its legendary “Killer Bug” also known as “Grayling Bug”. This extremely simple fly has proven its effectiveness over the years – probably due to its unique and very special colour. Further, the application of this yarn is very easy. It allows you to tie perfect bodies within seconds. It consists of multiple strands that can be separated from each other. Using only one of the strands allows you to tie even the most delicate patterns. In addition, it can be brushed to provide your flies with a very “buggy” and extremely tempting appearance.
