Whiting Bugger Pack

The Wooly Bugger is one of the most famous patterns worldwide and is without question still one of the most successful trout streamers that you could have in your fly box. Countless brown and rainbow trout fall for this imitation of a small fish, leech, or tadpole every day. Strictly speaking, there is not the ONE variation of the Wooly Bugger, but numerous interpretations of this basic pattern are in circulation and every fly tyer has his own preferences. But what most Wooly Buggers have in common is a fluffy body hackle that serves several purposes: On the one hand it enlarges the silhouette of the streamer without making the fly bulky. On the other hand, the soft fibres have a pulsating movement in the current and thus address the lateral line organ of the fish or fishes even better - because strictly speaking the Wooly Bugger is much more than a trout streamer. Depending on color, size and weight this classic pattern can be used for all predatory fish species.

Whiting's Bugger Packs offer the best basis for tying a perfect Wooly Bugger. These feathers are ideal for a perfect body hackle in terms of length and fluffiness. The large selection of colors allows you to create many different pattern on your tying vise.

Besides the use as a body hackle for wooly buggers and related streamers, these feathers can of course also be tied in as tails or flanks - e.g. for pike streamers, huchen streamers or salt water deceivers. Due to their soft texture, the feathers of the Whiting Bugger Pack are also suitable for the collar of salmon or sea trout flies. Many different coastal flies benefit from the soft, beautiful hackle of the Whiting Bugger Pack. Simply a very unique and versatile tying material with a great price-performance ratio!

Since it is a natural product, the length of the individual feathers can vary between 10 and 20 cm. Most feathers have a length of 15 cm.
