Hanak H 45 XH Jig Superb Trophy Hook

The Hanak company is a well-known name to every nymph fisherman, because for many years the company from the Czech Republic has built up a reputation for the best jig hooks on the market, especially in the international competition scene. No surprise, because you can really rely on these hooks - even for big fish!

The H 45 XH Jig Superb Trophy is an extra strong hook with a wide gap and fits any pattern. The special feature of the Jig Superb Trophy is the extra strong wire. This makes this hook particularly suitable for specific fishing for big trout, barbel or for tying small jig streamers. Furthermore, the H 45 XH has a slightly shorter shank, a wide bend for best hooking properties and a long, thin point that pierces cleanly into the fish's mouth. This jig hook is equipped with a small barb that can be easily pressed on as required.

Like any jig hook, the H 45 XH is ideal for presenting your nymph close to the bottom. The eye is angled at 60 degrees so that your fly floats 'upside-down' in combination with a slotted tungsten bead, reducing the risk of snagging. Especially for modern presentation forms of Euro nymphing (e.g. French nymphing) this hook is a super choice!

Tip:

For local trout fishing we recommend hook sizes #12 (approx. 4mm bead), #14 (approx. 3 - 3.5mm bead) and #16 (2.0 - 3.0mm bead). For selective fishing for barbel or tying small jig streamers, on the other hand, the sizes #10 to #12 are perfect.
