Coq de Leon feathers are probably the most popular feathers when imitating fine tails of mayfly patterns or for adding fine legs and antennae to wet flies and nymphs.

Coq De Leon is a fine feather variety of a special type of rooster from the Loen region of Spain. Fly Scene Coq de Leon saddle replacement feathers are called replacements for one reason only. Namely, because Fly Scene rooster feathers do not originate from the northwest of Spain / Leon. The quality, however, is just as high and equal.

For tying tails, legs and hackles, Coq de Leon feathers are probably the finest and most beautiful tying material that can be used. The feathers are incredibly elastic, strong and shine beautifully. In addition, the fibers of the feather are transparent depending on the incidence of the sun, which we know of course from the original tails and legs of insects. A perfect imitation!

The Pardo colors are colors where the spots penetrate the feather in different sizes and are clearly visible on both sides.

The Indio colors are non-speckled feather pigmentations.

In short, these wonderful feathers from the legendary Coq de Leon will put a smile on the face of any avid fly tyer. They are very versatile and a real asset to any tying table!
