For season 2017 JMC from France introduce a 6-piece double-handed travel rod with an extraordinary price-performance-ratio: The Migration.
All models feature a medium-fast and progressive action which suits many casting styles and techniques. The deeply loading blank is forgiving with regard to timing being a bit off while still being able to punch out a long cast accurately. With its great casting performance and balance the JMC Migration is not only a great value for money travel rod for novice salmon anglers, but also interesting for more experienced fishermen. The combination of low price tag, great performance and handy 6-piece design makes this rod the ideal travel-rod and/or backup-rod on your journeys. This rod actually nails it in this price segment!
JMC Migration rods are available in different classes/lengths to cover the most typical fishing scenarios. The blanks come with a modern minimalistic finish in matt black (#9/10 green) and the triple-foot stripping guides/one-foot rod guides are wrapped in dark green (almost black). The butt section of the rod features a Long Reverse Half Wells grip and under grip as well as a aluminum reel seat.
#7/8 - 12,2 ft: Perfect for small and medium sized rivers and fishing for sea trout, grilse, small salmon and alike. Relatively short light weight rod that is easy to cast and handle.
#8/9 - 13,6 ft: True all-round double hand rod that fits many fishing situations and requirements. Ideal rod for medium and large rivers where it fights big fish comfortably.
#9/10 - 14,8 ft: Long rods for big rivers. Due to its length this rod has plenty of leverage for long casts, mendings and swing control. Especially when fishing big rivers and/or heavy sink tips.
