Precision XUL Sensytip fly rods from the well-known Hydropsyche family by Soldarini have been developed for ultra-fine fishing for Trout, Grayling and other species. The special feature of these sensitive rods is the second tip with which each model is delivered. This second tip is based on the Senytip technology and has even more feel and flex. This allows fishing of the thinnest tippets and extremely small nymphs. The Sensytip tip was originally developed for Italian alpine rivers, where small to medium sized trout are targeted with very fine leaders and tippets. The special rod tip offers even more feel and makes it easier to cast and present tiny nymphs as well as to detect careful takes. The Sensytip tip has a thinner diameter and a deeper bend than the traditional tip, which is much more versatile instead. The bottom line is that you get two different rods that open up even more possibilities on creeks and rivers.
All Precision XUL Sensytip models have a very slim blank with a matt black finish that is designed for maximum discretion and represents the typical SFT minimalism. The lightweight reel seat, made from high quality 6061 aluminium, has a beautiful carbon inlay and locks down in the longer rod models for better balance. The shorter rods, which by the way can also be fished fantastically with the dry fly, on the other hand have a traditional reel seat that can be screwed upwards. The slim half-well handle fits comfortably in the hand and length markings on the rod blank allow you to measure your catch quickly and gently.
