G.Loomis IMX-Pro Creek Single Handed Fly Rod

The IMX Pro series offers an attractive entry into the world of G.Loomis. These rods have been developed based on the years of expertise of American guides for daily use in freshwater and are characterised by a balance of flawless workmanship and extreme durability. The wide range of the IMX Pro rod series covers most typical fishing scenarios - for example fishing with dries and light nymphs for Trout and Grayling on the creek.

Small water. Big rewards. Now more than ever, anglers are searching for new opportunities to explore the path less traveled. Avoiding crowded waterways in search of solitude not only offers pause from the hectic pace of everyday life, it’s also an excellent way to find that happy, unpressured fish of a lifetime. For postwork solo missions or alpine weekend wanderings, IMX-PROc (or IMX-PRO Creek) blanks blend a compact 7,9 ft length with a stable tip to create a moderate action that loads short and tracks true. Wrapped in a shorter sock and protective tube that’s equally at home lashed to a pack or stowed under a bench seat in the truck, these tools are primed for big adventure whenever you are.

With their medium-fast action, IMX Pro Creek fly rods from G.Loomis are a universal tool for most casting styles. Especially for overhead casts in the short and middle distance range, the blank supports the accurate shaping of the flying line. And on roll casts in the green tunnel, the IMX Pro shows its full potential. This is fun! The blank is finished in a dark olive green with dark green decorative wraps. The handle is a comfortable half-wells design and the quality of the cork is very convincing. A darker composite cork ring is used on the underside of the handle for better durability. The ringing starts with a hook keeper in the butt section, then a SIC guide ring, followed by hard chrome plated single leg rings that are precisely aligned and cleanly finished.

IMX Pro fly rods are made with the new ConduitCore technology from G.Loomis and the proven Multi Taper design. This has replaced graphite wraps with new material to reduce weight and increase strength in the right places. The result is a compelling blend of power, durability and a comfortable weight. In short, if you're looking for an entry into the world of G.Loomis and love to fish on small waters, the IMX Pro Creek is a great choice for you!
